FIELD PREP
PRACTICE
Before
· Open shed and roll the numbers on lock. Place lock on door.
· Drag Field
o Keep Drags away from grass. Kills grass.
o Do not stop drag in same place. Creates a dirt mound.
o FIELDS 1 AND 2: DO NOT DRAG OVER BASE PADS
o Field 5: use ATV to drag field. Slowly and small circles if time permits. First to second then third to second If Possible
· Water field: light to medium, do not let water puddle.
o DO NOT WATER MOUND will make slippery and unplayable.
· Place base pads and bases, put base plugs in bin.
· Remove mound cover and place outside fence.
· Keep sheds clean and organized.
· Place drags outside fence to avoid injury.
AFTER
· Pull bases and base pads place in shed neatly. Replace base plugs.
· Drag field
o Keep drags away from grass. Kills grass.
o Do not stop drag in same place. Creates dirt mound.
o FIELD 1 AND 2: DO NOT DRAG OVER BASE PADS.
o Field 5: Use ATV to drag field. Slowly and small circles if time permits. First to second then third to second If Possible
· Fill in holes in batter’s box and mound, Use pounder to compact dirt.
· Water field, light to medium watering.
· LAST PRACTICE OF NIGHT
· Cover mound.
· CLOSE AND LOCK SHED: verify door is closed.
· Verify Cages are locked and lights are off, Turn timer counterclockwise to turn off: Cage 3, 5, 6A and 6B only.
· Call MUSCO to turn off field lights 1- 877-347-3319 USER ID “ AVLL” password “avll2003” Tell them Woodfield and the field you want the lights turned off.

Home and Visitor team work together
· Drag field
o FIELD 1 AND 2: DO NOT DRAG OVER BASE PADS.
o Field 5: Use ATV to drag field. Slowly and small circles if time permits. First to second then third to second If Possible
· Place bases
· Water field. Lightly water field.
· Line field.
AFTER GAMES
Home and Visitor work together.
· Drag field.
o FIELD 1 AND 2: DO NOT DRAG OVER BASE PADS.
o Field 5: Use ATV to drag field. Slowly and small circles if time permits. First to second then third to second If Possible
· Rake mound, fill in hole and compact dirt.
· Fill Holes in batter’s box and compact
· Lightly water field
· Clean dugout.
Last game of night.
· Drag field.
o FIELD 1 AND 2: DO NOT DRAG OVER BASE PADS.
o Field 5: Use ATV to drag field. Slowly and small circles if time permits. First to second then third to second, and foul territory
· Pull bases and base pads and replace base plugs
· Cover mound
· Keep sheds clean and organized.
· Shut bin door and replace lock and verify door is locked.
· Clean dugout
