A. When conditions exist that make it necessary to close a field, the Board of Directors or the Property Manager will post a sign at the closed field or indicate its closure on the league’s website. The closed field MAY NOT BE USED until the Board of Directors, Property Manager, and/or AVCA have reopened the field.
A. Game Time Limit Rule:
1. Last inning shall be called after 1:30 from the official or start time of the game for AAA and Major games unless they are the last game of the day for that field. Last inning shall be called at 1:30 for all AA games regardless of play after their game.
2. No mercy rule will be in effect for all Major, Minor –AAA & Minor –AA Divisions.
B. Continuous Batting Rule:
1. Per rule 4.04, continuous batting has been adopted for all Major, Minor-AAA & Minor-AA division games throughout the season.
C. Mandatory Play Rule:
1. All players must play defense in two (2) of the first four (4) innings and three (3) innings of a six-inning game in the Major Division. AA & AAA players must play two in four innings and 4 in 6 innings.
2.. Failure to meet mandatory play requirements in this rule is a basis for suspension of the manager. Each manager is responsible for monitoring these requirements and must report any violation to the umpire prior to the team leaving the fields. The report must also be filed with the commissioner within 24 hours.
D. Maximum Runs per Inning Rule (Minor-AAA & Minor-AA only):
1. In game’s final inning as declared by the umpire, unlimited runs will be allowed. The only way this game can continue beyond the declared final inning is if it is tied and remains within the local time limits.
E. Minor-AA Rules:
1. No stealing of home shall be allowed in the first half of all season but will be allowed in the 2nd half and playoffs.
F. 1. Pitchers will be allowed to warm up in the middle of a game on the temporary mound in foul territory. A catcher must accompany them with a mask and a 3rd player with helmet to protect the players from foul balls.
